Rifq (“the app”) is an Arabic and English app for tracking the menstrual cycle, pregnancy and a baby’s vaccination schedule. It is published by Ropulva, New Cairo, Egypt (“we”, “us”). The short version: your information stays on your phone. We do not collect it, and we cannot see it.

1. No accounts, no servers

You do not need to sign up or log in. The app does not send your data to us or to any server, and it contains no advertising, no analytics and no tracking tools.

2. What the app stores on your phone

Only what you choose to enter, stored in the app’s private storage on your device:

• Period start and end dates, symptoms and mood notes, and your cycle settings.
• Pregnancy details such as the due date, weekly checklist progress, and any scan or lab notes you add.
• Baby profiles (name, date of birth), vaccination records and growth measurements.
• Photos and notes you add to the “memories” section.
• Your language and worship preferences, and reminder settings.

This information is health-related and sensitive. For that reason it never leaves your phone unless you decide to send it yourself (see section 4).

3. Permissions the app asks for

• Notifications: to show reminders you set (vaccination visits, period and fertile-window reminders, fasting reminders).
• Run at start-up: so your reminders are scheduled again after the phone restarts.
• Photos / camera: only when you tap to add a photo to a memory. The app does not read your gallery otherwise.
• Files: only when you choose to export or restore a backup file.

4. When you share data

The app lets you create a backup file, a printable vaccination record (PDF) or a short summary and send it using your phone’s share menu. If you do, the information goes to the app or person you choose, such as WhatsApp, email or Google Drive, and is then handled under that service’s own privacy policy. We do not receive a copy.

5. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone, because we do not have it.

6. Keeping and deleting your data

Your data stays on your phone until you remove it. You can delete individual entries inside the app, or delete everything by clearing the app’s storage in your phone settings or uninstalling the app. Because we hold no copy, we cannot recover your data if you lose your phone or delete the app; keep a backup file if you want to be able to restore it.

7. Children

The app is intended for adults. Parents and carers may enter a baby’s details to keep a vaccination record. This information stays on the parent’s phone as described above. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Health information notice

Rifq gives general information and predictions based on the dates you enter. It is not a medical device and does not replace advice from a doctor, midwife or health unit. Vaccination dates follow a published schedule and may differ from your child’s doctor’s advice. Always follow your doctor’s instructions, and seek medical care for any health concern.

9. Security

Your data is kept in the app’s private storage on your phone and is protected by your phone’s own security (screen lock, device encryption). We recommend using a screen lock.

10. Changes to this policy

If the app changes in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this page and the date above before the change is released.
